Airbrushing inquiries
Hey guys
so i'm gonna get a airbrush and compressor... just wondering.. i usually buy Tamiya Acrylic paints.. the mini ones.. are those enough to do alot of models? like how do you do it? take a eyedropper or something and put it into the jar for the airbrush and thin it down and when your done you just pour it back into the container? any other tips and stuff |

I don't think you want to pour it back. Fix enough to use in one painting session. I read that on another forum somewhere. I am getting ready to use my airbrush also. Good Luck.

1.See what colour you want to start with first. 2. Play around with the ratios of paint to thinner it's all up to you I use 2 paint to 1 thinner it depends. 3. On the pasche air brush I use the gravity feed jar and pour in the paint and thinner or mix the paint in the jar and pour into the gravity cup. 4. I do not pour the remaining paint back into the container, I only pour the paint and thinner in the gravity cup what I am going to use. 5. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN your airbrush before you start using a different colour. 6. For the thinner you can use the Tamiya Acrylic thinner but it is quite expensive in my area . I use Isopropyl Alcohol it's cheap and I have had no problems with it and it cleans my airbrush good! You can pick it up at any Drug store or Electronics store. Try the drug store prob cheaper. Hope that helps:flash: |

I use Model Master Paint. The jar fit right on the airbrush and you don't need to thin the paint.
Better, you have Acrylic and Enamel paint ! personnaly i use Acrylic cos you can wash your airbrush with whater in 5 minutes... Enamel take me a lot more of time to clean... but both are good paint. With a Jar of 15ml, I can make 3 model with 2 coat each. cost 3$Can

How easy are they to work with? Can you do two tone without the paint lifting? Does it polish up well? |
