I think ive caught the tick!

The last 2 mornings when I start the 03 TB I hear a steady ticking coming from the deep in dash. When I turn on the AC Fan it goes away. Then turn the AC Fan off it starts again. After about 5 min of driving it goes away. Is it the Tach deal, or the HVAC?

Welcome to AF. If the ticking is coming from the inst. cluster you should be able to hear the tach wind down just as you shut off the engine. The blower is on the right side of dash as well as most of the controls, your ear will have to answer this one.

If it is the right side of the dash, agreed on the actuator. BTW GM has revised the procedure for replacing this part to a simpler cheaper procedure.
