Killed a first gen altima

Surprised? So am I. I was doing my daily drive-arounds when I spot this out of state civic, I tried calling him out but I came to the conclusion he didn't wanna race. I passed him up and continued on until this altima passes me and I spot a shiny looking exhaust tip. My music was blasting, so I didn't bother to lower my volume to check and see if it had some exhaust or what not. He was going pretty fast, I caught up with him and passed him up, I'm pretty sure he saw the stupid grin I gave him cause he starting to gain on me. When he caught up it pretty began after that. I'm doing about 110 by now and have him beat by half a car, so we shut down on a curve on the freeway. I slow down to about 80, and he's about 2 cars infront of me weaving on the curve, I thought it was kinda funny to look at. I get to a nice straight away and gain him, then pass him up. I'm 3 cars ahead of him now and he's doing his best to catch me. We got to some traffic so I shut down, and watch him cut through traffic. I point and laugh at him at this point, sore loser.

you know..I don't know, I'm not sure if the earlist is 97, or something like that. My knowledge of the altimas before 2000, are extremely limited.

first generation Altima was a 93, i used to own one, not a bad car at all, but surely not a fast car

I raced my friends altima (like 1998 maybe?) and beat it and i think he had an inline-4. Anyways, did you guys notice how the 0-60 times are better on the neon but the quarter miles are the same on both cars. That must mean that the altima is better from a roll and yours is better from a dig, because the altima loses time during the first 0-60 (or so) mph which means its gotta make it up somewhere (obviously the rest of the track). So i would say you did pretty good to hang with him from a roll.

It's all thanks to premium gas and octane booster. Only regular gas and no octane booster, I get my ass kicked from a roll. But I'm usually racing cars, or at least calling them out, that have like upgrades when my is like bone stock(except for the rims lol). I was really surprised when I was starting to beat him, he obviously didn't want to race to end like that. lol. by the way, i don't own an R/T, I have an ES. Did they even come in my color orange? I've only seen tan brown and black.

yes because we all know octane booster gives you like 20+ octane NUMBAR!

i highly doubt high octane gas and booster helped you at all you prolly lined up with somebody who couldnt drive.

lol, most of those octane boosters that boast high octane numbers are crap. I'm not saying the ocatne booster gave me a big gain, there's no way in hell that'll happen. It just makes the car a little more responsive, any other octane booster that says it will increase hp is total bs, it only restores lost hp from the age of the engine. lol

you basically said in your other post you beat him because of premium and octane booster, but now you're saying octane booster doesn't do any good.. So what's the deal

ik what u mean moer agressive. make the car seem lighter. but they dont really help much seriously. it doesnt restore engine hp, just cleans ur fuel injectors.

The point is that higher octane does not make you faster or increase horsepower. It simply allows you to run more advanced timing, higher compression, or more boost etcetera without getting pre-detonation. Your car will see nothing from putting 91 octane or higher. Any contrived performance gain is the placebo effect.
