As requested here is a new thread. How do you check the crank position sensor using a VOM meter ? If it cannot be done that way how else do you check it?

Get a scanner on it and see if you have cranking rpms, if none the cps or ign module. The procedure is outlined at autozone.com/repairinfo

I have replaced the ECM . Now the car starts and run a bit better, but it seems that the idle speed is low. How do youincrease curb idle speed. I tried the turn ignition on then off method fron the haynes manual. Does the TPS affect idle speed or just cruising speed?

Idle relearn may take a few miles of driving try this first, also let it idle in gear for a few minutes. Proper tps operation can affect idle speed also.
