2000 Escalade fuel gauge problem

I have a 2000 Escalade and the fuel gauge is stuck on full most of the time. It will occasionally move off of full just a bit as the fuel is depleted, and when I fill it up it pegs past full. It will also drop from full to empty sometimes, and then go right back to full. Any suggestions?

Re: 2000 Escalade fuel gauge problem

I have 00 escalade as well and it was the sending unit that was bad... that was fixed under my extended warranty, but the gauge still has a life of its own from time to time... gas tank now has a slight leak too...
