The NEW Raybrig NSX instruction question...

If any of you have this kit, in the instructions, it says to *NOT* overspray the decals with a clear coat because it will damage the decals. It doesn't say take care, it says DON'T. That's different from previous kits.

Now, some of the decals (the teal ones) in this kit have a "metallic" sheen to them. Are these decals the ones they are referring to? I really don't want to do this kit without clearcoating from the obvious benefits it gives. Does anyone know what they're talking about?

Thanks!

Daniel

I'm bummed out about it too. I don't know what it will do when it comes time. I think it has to do with the metallic decals, though I am not sure if the clear will attack the decal or just make them less shiny and ruin the metalic effect. I just remember spraying the metallic silver decal on top of my 787B, and it going CRAZY! I'm just gonna wait and see someone else make this mistake.

If you don't want to use clear, just use some Future to protect your decals. It won't eat any decals and it gives your workarea that piney fresh smell....
