Check oil light

93 Grand AM 2.3 SOHC
The check oil light comes on sometimes and stays on for a while. The oil level is fine. Where is this sensor and how can I get to work right?

i have an 89 4 cyl. i have the same prob..would this cause me to fail emiss? my temp gauge doesn't work either
