The N1 is the racing base. It has no car audio, no AC, no heat, all that good stuff. Also it has ceramic turbs.

Thumbs up

Thanks for that!!

I had an '80 skyline GTEX 4 door awhile back, with cermaic turbo, that had more boost than anything my friends had!

So does the N1 have any more HP than the base GTR??

I donno about the HP, it very well could have more... I wouldn't be supprised if it did, but I'm not sure.

EvilMart, i think it does have a bit more power.

I dont think the N1 fell under the "gentlemans agreement" between the jap car manufacturers to not produce a car making more than 206kw.

the N1 tested in wheels magazine had 230kw@wheels!

the N1 uses different turbos to the normal GTR!!

Also was at a dyno day when a bog stock r34 GTR Vspec 2 got dynoed at 200kw@wheels!!!

Out of production

Just like the whole R34 Skyline range, the saddest thing was watching the GT-T and GTR depart from NZ Autocars price list

besides what others have pointed out, more importantly, you're paying for the engine. The block is strengthened, thicker girdles, different pistons(+0.3mm, upgrades rings probably). More tuning potential. Motorex imported one already, R34 VpecII Nur N1pkg(I'm sure I've left out somethig).
