Re: suggestions on paint colors

Going to need a pic of the ride. I ran stock color then on front end 3 shades of rattle can blue and a gray wiper cowl.

Black be nice. Goes with everything then black out the interior because new carpet is relatively cheap, you can do the headliner yourself, either paint the dash black or black dash cover, black leather seats from a bravada, pull door panels off a truck in the yard that are black and either have someone re - do them or paint them black and while the panels are off replace the window motors and switches inside.

Re: suggestions on paint colors

I always say don't alter teh color very much, unless you plan on paying another $1500 or more for them to re-paint the engine compartment, door jams, trunk lid, ect.

It's one of those things that looks awfull unless you do the whole job properly (especially to you).

Just getting a nice pearl or sparkle clearcoat sprayed on most clean cars makes them look incredable.

Re: suggestions on paint colors

I would say red to match the interior.

Black trucks with red interiors have never been that great looking IMO.

Thanks, look what colours my Blazer are

(pic taken shortly before the paint, but the only clean interior panel picture that I have)

Oh wait, I forgot it's usually too dusty to see the colour through
I can't go mudding where I usually live (I'm back in Canada's hot spot by the weekend) but I'm always driving through heavy dust

Re: suggestions on paint colors

I know, and non taken.

Your just posting your honest opinion like always. And Red wasn't my first choice (black was) it's just what my parts rig had in it and I didn't like the factory brown color.

Re: suggestions on paint colors

After I get it back to the Okanagan it's scedualed for a face lift. I'm thinking of keeping the black, but adding gray camo patches, and if I decide to do the interior again I'm thinking of doing the opposite. I'm still hoping on getting a nice pair of leather seats, and the back seats coming out for my stereo. Although I still want it to look like I have my seat folded down and no system.

Oh, I'll be painting my boat to match, and am also thinking of selling my trailer and buying a military trailer... painting that to match as well.
