aurora fluctuating gas gauge

my 98 aurora's gas gauge has went crazy, filled up sunday and i think from reading other peoples post that i over filled it. if i have to replace the sending unit can i pull it from the trunk?

Second question. my passenger rear window will roll down but not up, any thoughts. i have two auroras and i switched motor and switches out with no different results.

Re: aurora fluctuating gas gauge

not sure bout gas guage. might be sending unit. ya never top off tank. or could try resetting. disconnect battery for a min. then reconnect. on windows- could be safety switch on rear doors. or could be broken wires on driver side in boot between door. i had 3 broken wires. easiest to take door panel off, remove tape. then gettly pull rubber boot through door to see wires. sux, tho worth saving a grip of money. check well, some wires look ok, tho still can be broken or bout to break. then cut, fix using butt connectors.

Re: aurora fluctuating gas gauge

The sending unit went on my 2001 at about 45000 miles. They had to drop the gas tank to get at it. Im not sure about a '98.
