Extra cable on battery?????
I have a 94 Caprice I believe it was once a police car or taxi. I have 2 cable going to the positive side of my battery i was wondering why that might be. any help is appreciated......

Trace them - one will go to the starter and the other will go to a red plastic block on the fender near the battery. It is this cable that can be disconnected.

thanks alot, are there any pros/cons to having it connected versus having it disconnected?

It's an additional power hookup in case you want to add electric accessories to the car, but that's about it.

It doesn't hurt anything to leave it alone, and you have the bonus of an aux battery tap for stereos, lights, etc.
