Red face O2 Sensor or what?

I have had everything you can imagine repaired with this code and none of it fixes the problem. I have been told that these misfire and cylinder 2 and 3 codes means its the O2 sensor (or one of the O2 sensors should I say) However, they can't tell me which O2 sensor. Any ideas if it is the one before or after the catalyst?

What code is it, and who is telling you this?

Re: O2 Sensor or what?

They didn't tell me the exact code numbers just that the codes showed a misfire on cylinder 2 and cylinder 3 and that that usually means that it is the O2 sensor. Since I have had new plugs and wire, new battery new map sensor, new exhast.... new new new.... I could have replaced my accent for the cost of trying to repair this one item. Now I luckily got an O2 sensor on ebay for a really good price... so as long as this is the thing that is ACTUALLY wrong with the car I'll be happy... My old accent did this and it was the O2 sensor, but it was a 1999 and I guess only had one sensor or something. It farts and sputters and the engine light flashes till it gets to about 70km/ per hour. at that point it runs pretty smooth, but the light flashes sometimes...

What do you think?

A misfire code doesn't mean that it's an oxygen sensor. If this is an Autozone, or another worthless parts store telling you all this, go somewhere else. The only thing they are good for is to pull the code, and tell you what the code is. They have no clue about diagnosing a car. Misfire code could be plugs, wires, coils, injectors, etc. . .If the oxygen sensor is bad, it should be an oxygen sensor code. What kind of oxygen sensor did you get from Ebay? I might be able to help you get the correct part #. Seeing that you're in Canada, I can't look up VIN specific parts for Canadian models, but can try to narrow it down some. More info on your car would be needed.
