The only advantages the Neon has is the stick and it's about 200lbs lighter, so I'm assuming it'd be close?

I'm positive the z would win if it got a proper launch, mind you I'm a little biased as I drive one .

The Z would win I have done this one before... except mine was a manual and I actually lost but I was gaining on him he had a car length on me. I would have had him the whole way but I had 3 passengers, one of which weighs 340 lbs. The race went like this took him off the line by more than a car length with a bad launch by me, kept pulling ahead through first and second gear, hit third and that was were he went ahead, third is way to tall a gear once the revs got back up I was catching up to him. A loss I know but not by much, a 340lb guy in the passenger seat really slows these cars down.

depending if the neon launched well...i would say it would b close but the cavalier should be able to catch up and pass the neon

Even with a good driver the neon is still slow as balls. It has like no top end. My mom has a 03 SXT 5 speed... blah. Z hands down.

Actually thats a disadvantage that he has stick. Let alone if u had a shift kit u wud KILL him. You have a good 20hp and 20lbs of torque on him, only advantge neon has is weight, but if the drivers a fatass its all good

Plus the fact i absoluetly HATE Dodge, Neon's gonna loose.

Lol still, this goes back to the manual vs auto flame-fest. A computer can shift faster and at better rpm's with less errors than any human can.
