omega subs?
hey, i just got two omega power series subs (for free) 200 wrms. anyone have exp. with them or know if they are any good. just wondering.
p.s. i just blew my first sub. dont know what it was (got it for free too). it was in a jensen bass tube so i m assuming it was a jensen, but it had no markings on the sub itself. it was dual vc, which surprised me. when it blew the cone separated from whatever you call what it is attached to at the bottom. what would you call this kind of blowing? the vc's didn't look burnt at all, they still looked like new. sorry the ps was longer than the initial ?.

I've seen some at a local flea market. They was for sell for 5.00. So dunno how good they are. I was gonna get one to play with and blow.

i was trying to blow the jensen, or whatever it is. it held up a lot longer than i thought it would. i hooked it up, turned the volume up to 15, sounded decent (for being in free air), turned volume to 20 sounded fine, volume to 25 started to make a funny noise, volume to 30 sounded like it was pounding against a wall, volume to 35 for 20 sec and cone separated from spider.
 that was fun

My hu only goes to 30 I think. Dunno...I blew an old, like grandma used these to win comps old, MTX Road Thunder...I put 440 watts to it I think it was rated at like 100 or something it lasted for like 30 secs at most at 22 on the hu. I was playing late night tip by 3 6 mafia. A couple of times the coil came off of the motor structure.
