I've been using the SuperTech oils and filters in my cars for a long time, 12v and 24v engines, couldn't and still can't beat the price.. I see Advance Auto Parts now have their own line of filters, low $$$.. I'll have to do some research, see if I can find any info on them

I am not saying one filter is better or worse.

The point I want to get across is it doesnt matter who builds the filter it is built to the spec of whoevers name is on it.

All we can do is do the reserach and use whatever resources are available to and make an evaluation as to our personal 'druthers and what looks good to us. Bob The Oil Guy has an excellent article on oil filters and from time to time I've seen oil filter articles here and there. I was impressed with what the guy said about WalMart SuperTech filters made by Champion Labs and until I find out different I'll hang tough with them.

I made that post because it sounded like a filter was being judged based on the fact that Champion Labs made it.

Champion Labs built it to the spec requested.

And I have frequented BITOG more than once.

I go to K-Mart and buy what is on sale. Never had a problem.

I have a friend who works at Advance Auto and I'll ask him who makes their filters.
