99 taurus spewing brown liquid

I parked my car tonight and saw smoke. When I popped the hood there was liquid spewing and smoke(probably from touching hot engine). The liquid was brown and I think it might be antifreeze. There was some liquid around the coolant resivoir, but it was spewing from a connection behind the engine in the center. It is a three way connection with two of the connection having metal connectors and one looked like a rubber tube. If this makes sense to anyone please help. Im trying to figure out if its a hose leak or if it has anything to do with the water pump. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Whatever is leaking is broken. Pressure test the cooling system to identify exactly what is leaking, then replace that part. Flush the cooling system and fill with a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze.

Re: 99 taurus spewing brown liquid

Got the problem fixed. It was a simple T connector that cooling system to heater core. I got a new part put in and the system flushed. The tow cost more than the fix, but it could always be worse.

Thanks again
