95 Corsica Ignition Coil Dead Engine Knocking

Hi,When i bought my Corsica 5 years ago I read on the internet these car engines could get ruined from a Ignition Coil or Power Pack breakdown on the road.

Mine died on the highway towed it home,replaced the Ignition Coil and Position Sensor. Started it up and heard a knock like a Rod or Wrist Bearing ect.

The car has been rendered useless after spending nearlt $300 to fix it.

Anyone else hear of this type of situation.
