The simple way to kill your DRL's..96-99 guys.

This has only been confirmed for cavalier's in this year series.. and for a 99 sunfire, possibly others, i couldn't dig up anymore info than just for that one year.

So yea just remove your dash inside the car, pull the wiring harness going into your gauge cluster, the thinner blue wire comming out of Pin hole # B8, just snip it and they are gone! Problem solved. On a 99 Sunfire, it's pin B7... DARK BLUE.. right next to the other dark blue one (pin B8, which is the right turn signal wire).

I figured i would throw up the info on how to do it since i had to do it in order to get my 2000+ headlight conversion to function properly. The problem is that 95-99 uses the high beams in series... therefore half voltage and the 00-02 uses the low AND high beams in series... half voltage each side. The massive draw of power blows the fuses as soon as your DRL's come on after wiring up the new 9007 Pigtails. There is no way to make the conversion work with the DRLs without the use of several relays and headaches of wiring. I tried every possible alternative. Disabling them, it's pretty much the only way without re-engineering the car or hours of fucking around with wiring diagrams.

Nope.. only kills your DRL's. Your low and highs will still function normally.

Nope no flashing light thingy... Everything functions normally except you have no more DRL's and no flashing light side effect.
