Uim/lim

Here is my question for the day. Sense I'm not a engine guy and don't own a repair manual.... Are either of the bolts for the LIM/UIM TTY blots? I'm going to be doing LIM gasket cuz I'm bored and interested to see if they are shot.

Re: Uim/lim

TTY, I don't think so Troy. Not enough torque anyways on any of the UIM/LIM bolts. It is really up to you. On the LIM bolts it is highly recommended to get new ones but not necessary. You could re-use the old ones with no problems but all old threadlocker has to be removed first. I let mine soak in fuel injector cleaner overnight and took a small brush to them. Use blue threadlocker only or GM 272, PN # 12345493. Good luck!

Re: Uim/lim

I didn't think so either I reused my UIM when I did that. I take it the LIM bolts go into water jackets. Goning to do this when there is a nice cool week.
