Clear over Revell Decals
Just had a bit of a disaster with a Revell Audi Quattro Rallye kit. Applied all the decals and then a quick coat of Humbrol clear and within seconds the black and silver sections of the Audi works colours has bubbled and melted.
Never had this happen before with Hasegawa and Tamiya decals. Anybody else suffered the same problems with either humbrol clear or Revell decals and any suggestions on the best clear to go for in future? |

Re: Clear over Revell Decals
I think its humbrol clear it always does this to my decals. The clear to use depends upon which paint you used for the colour. I usually use Tamiya, Halfords or Revell airbrush.

I have never tried any other clear but what does everyone recommend between say Tamiya, Testors, any others as I would really want to avoid a repeat of this problem. Any suggestions very much welcomed. |

Re: Clear over Revell Decals
i've clear coated on revell kits before with no problem.
firstly, what paint did you you use?(i used revell enamels) secondly, i used revell enamel clear gloss #1 on the decals and paint with no problem whatsoever. |
