Re: How do I tell when my 03 Taurus was built?

The door sticker should have the month and year of manufacture. Since the claim lists 01 May, if your door sticker says 05/2003 then that would be after 01 May, 2003.

Typically, a car built after September of a calendar year will be the next model year, sometimes that extends to August, and sometimes it's much sooner depending on if it's a new model, etc.

To ensure you do have the correct year, look at the VIN number, count over to the 10 digit or letter. That will tell you exactly what year you have. To find out the letter coding just google VIN and check the letters.
