tranny code?
where is it located on a 5spd transmission? i looked at the tranny i have sitting in the barn look like on one of the mounts or something said PG9

as i know any tranny have 1- stam which tell model . 2-and have a code which tell the gear ration.
for exampel for the sohc the 92-95 have the s20 and the 96-2000 have s40 1-the satmp very easy to read its in the area wich beside the block 2-the code very hard to see when it bolt . you can locate ant the hoses which at back of the tranny . you will find a circle divided to two parts first part if include A000 its lx,dx tranny long tranny but if include B000 its short tranny for the si * if there are any wrong info please anyone correct me.
