1998 Rodeo
The 1998 Isuzu Rodeo had fuel pump replaced was reprogramed by dealer and ran. Then it washard to start, Now some times driving down the road the truck shuts off. What causes this. Thanks Tom

It looks like you are having electrical short, their is recall from isuzu. Here it is.
Nature of Defect: 5. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:HARNESS:FRONT:UNDERHOOD Recall Number: 98V170000 Dates Manufactured: JUL 1997 to FEB 1998 Number of Vehicles Affected: 55475 Date Owners Notified On: N/A Vehicle: 1998 Isuzu Rodeo Defect Description: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. A GROUND CONNECTION TERMINAL WAS NOT PROPERLY CRIMPED IN THE SUPPLIER'S ENGINE WIRING HARNESS MANUFACTURING LINE. THIS IMPROPER CRIMPING PROCESS CAN LEAVE AN IMPRESSION ON THE TERMINAL THAT WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE A STRESS FRACTURE. S Consequence of Defect: If a terminal is fractured, the powertrain control module (PCM) can receive an erroneous signal indicating a high vehicle speed, thereby causing the PCM to cut the fuel, causing a 'no-start' condition, or a possible engine stall. Corrective Action: Dealers will replace the wiring harness on these vehicles.
