Removing Front Door Panel

HI
I need help in removing this door panel. The handle is loose and I think I can tighten it myself. Does anyone know how to remove the fron interior door panel on a 200 Town Car
Thanks

Re: Removing Front Door Panel

I've got a 91 and not sure if its the same but all I had to do is take out a few screws and then it has some pins holding it in place so just pull on the panel and it should pop off.

Like 91euro+ says, there were some screws in various places. Once those are removed the remaining fasteners are like thiis one:

They may be plastic, or they may be the same as shown. As you can see, this type panel clip is designed to hold firmly to a small hole in the door. The idea is, when the clip is removed it will slightly compress and slip out of the hole in the door. Well, that's not always true with the type of clip shown, sometimes it will rip away from the door panel rather than giving up it's grip on the door.

What I like to do is work with a panel removing tool that has the ability to slightly surround the clips giving you an advantage over the clip. You will definately get the feel of where the clips are positioned after you start pulling the panel away from the door. Be sure to remove all the screws first. There are screws on the door pull handle and may be a few on the panel edges, out of sight.

Here's some of those tools:
