Transmission
99 Rodeo, auto trans, 87k miles, 2wd
Yesterday started out and noticed that shifter was in "D" but no light on the dash to indicate what gear. I "jiggled" the shifter and got it to light up the "D". For the rest of the trip I had hard shifting from 1 to 2 to 3 and then back down again. Shut off, started up an hour or so later and no problems. No problems again today. Had tranny flush @ 12k miles ago after similar hard shifts and no problems since. Is my range sensor about to go? Suggestions for a novice? |

Re: Transmission
I would clean up the range senor (see the faq's). 90% of the time a cleaning will fix it.
