Talking finally! got the ballz :D

like the title says.. ive been pretty much babying my 97 SS.. until today .. i was going home..on the freeway, 2 in the morning..no cops..no cars. onramp.

came to a complete stop..

revved her up to 2.5 and dropped. the damn thing wouldnt stop spinning! : god, i cant believe i was missing that.. haha

so btw, whats a good stock LT1 clutch drop RPM to get good traction? ive got the SS rims, with Z rated 285s on her..

Re: finally! got the ballz :D

Congrats on finally breaking them loose, unfortunatly if you did it JUST like you said, your going to roast your clutch. Try this next time: Bring the RPMs up to around 2500 - 3000 and ease out on the clutch. Once you feel it start to grab, quick move your foot up (dont let your foot off it, escort it all the way up, but quickly).

Please do this instead of dropping the clutch, your car will love you more

real men put their car 90* to the direction they were travelin' just by the ebrake and then pull the car back straight. Really shows up the showoffs behind you that did a little wimpy 'kickout' while making a left turn at the light.

Seriously though, don't dump the clutch, let it out and roll into the throttle hard.
