Its the opposite way around, if you use synthetic then dont go back to reg, its not good. You can however switch from reg to synthetic, and if you want the best, i suggest royal purple, its a fully synthetic racing oil, and is said to add hp.

Re: some ?s

there really isnt a "best" in oil. its more of a preference. i typically ran royal purple in my car, which it had the engine running free. there was a slight difference in the feel, but it didnt add power. ive ran mobil 1 full synthetic which was good too, but i liked the royal purple better. it cost me very slightly more for royal purple over mobil 1 since i always went to summit to get it. ive ran quaker state, penzoil, mobil 1, and royal purple all syns and the royal purple was the only to free the engine up, yet like i said isnt going to add power.

to find it, you can go to napa or order it through www.summitracing.com. the stuff is pretty pricy, especially through napa but if you arent into wailing on your car and running high rpms alot, then the normal synthetics will do fine which they can also do fine otherwise, but my preference is the royal purple. just have to shell out the cash to get it and i change my oil often still, 3,000 miles on synthetic just because i like my oil clean.
