Poll: For fountain drinks, do you prefer Styrofoam or Plastic cups?
Ok, I was just wondering the other day while driving back from Colorado, why the hell are gas stations switching to plastic cups instead of styrofoam? I hate plastic because of the lack of insulation, and I don't really see an advantage to them.
I know this is a useless thread, but I'm curious, what does everyone else prefer, styrofoam or plastic?

I prefer reusable plastic cups.

while the lack on insulation is a big thing i prefer the plastic cups. something about styrofoam material bothers me. i don't have an allergic reaction i just don't like the way it feels. i also think that the plastic cups are stronger than the styrofoam ones.
i like to push my straw through all the ice to get the last little bit of the soda or whatever (after all i paid for it ALL i want it ALL). i did this one time with a styrofoam cup and poked all the way to through the bottom. needless to say it got all over my lap. it's a plus also if the plastic cups are reusable, as mentioned above.

 i prefer plastic, i'm always afraid i'm going to squish my styrofoam and crack it or tear a hole in it and there goes my drink. plastic is also more sturdy, so if u knock it, or that way it is less likely to tip, especially if ur outside.

i like the plastic cups better since I can try to grip it when heading down the srteet, or the highway without the worry of crushing the cup and making a mess.

Styrofoam.. they dont leave a huge condensation mess if it sits in a place for an hour in a hot summer day in Texas.. also after all when you're done with the drink in the styrofoam cup you can start playing with it.. its the cup that keeps on giving!

no, it's a clear liquid. it bubbles and fizzes when you put styrofoam in it as it melts.

Well the only clear advantage I could see styrofoam having over plastic is that it doesn't condense water or whatever on the otuside when it starts to get warm, I hate that. Otherwise, plastic wins in all the durability categories.
