Security Light

96 F-Bird 3.8 no factory alarm system just an aftermarket viper..... security light comes on when driving and also sometimes right when i get in my car and go to start it ... wont even try to start because security light comes on. have to take key out and wait about 3 mins then turn it really fast.... anyone else have this problem?

Sorry forgot to mention the resistor has been bypassed already for the remote start thats why im still curious to is it the key? cause I can use any key even without the pellet to start it

my guess they didn't use the correct resistance when they bypass the VATS. DEI's resistors (I'm assuming that's whats used since this is a Viper) are usually a little lower in resistance. So, say you need 849 ohms theirs will read like 845. It's enough to get it to start but will through the code.

I've also seen a lot come in the shop with the relay wired wrong too.
