Wow, that was honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen posted on this forum. It just seems so surreal. I think we all have owners that we admire and those that we scorn a little and DK is (was) definitely one that I admire. He reminded me of a little kid opening up a Christmas present, beaming with joy. I bet if we had a video of Larry Ellison picking up his F1 it would be a lot less emotional and a lot more superficial.

Thanks Peloton for posting that. I really hope that one of the enthusiasts from this forum gets to experience that some day, as I doubt there are many people on this earth who would cherish such an occurrence as much.

That is a neat video. I think what adds to it is the commentary by his wife. She's just as if not more excited about it as he is. Always nice to have the SO share your enthusiasm about a car! Glad to see them enjoy the delivery of the car.

Side note: She actually takes better footage than a lot of videos I've seen on line.

The Green F1 , was that the one that went from Sweden to Japan (cant remember the #). How about the LM or GTR in the background?
I like Mr. Kennedy`s enthusiasm , even it was slippery i dont think he was
such a good driver. Offtopic ho is Mr.Kennedy , realated to the old President?

I believe the video was shot very early in 2001. The green F1 was definitely XP5. The camera doesn't get close enough to the two papaya orange F1s to figure out which ones those might be, but it's a fair bet that one is probably XP1 LM.

I don't think Dan has any relation to the Kennedy political family here in the USA - at least I have never heard of any association. He's just a very intelligent guy who worked hard and maybe got lucky during the dot com boom, building very successful companies in the process. Three of those companies are Vstore.com, Vcommerce.com and SalesLogix.com.

It was his first drive. I think he was testing the limits of the car and having fun making his wife scream with each flick of the steering wheel.
