ATX RT tranny issue

Ok a buddy of mine just has his tranny rebuilt when he puts it in D and goes to take off he said it acts like first is slipping, but when he puts it in 1st its all good. I did a search for end clutch per verts advice but it seems like the end clutch ordeal is realeated to OD like D to neutral so what could be causing this issue.

Re: ATX RT tranny issue

mine is like that when its cold. when i go to take off it will slip jerk an clunk. but put it in 1st an no problems. if it was the end clutch im assuming that will only effect 4th gear. i had a tranny in mine for a couple days that the end clutch was bad in. an it would take off smooth but once it came time to shift to 4th it was nuetral.

Re: ATX RT tranny issue

Like cold outside or tranny just cold liek first start. Because its anything but cold here a few days near 100 in a row if that says anything.

Re: ATX RT tranny issue

tell him to disconnect the tranny temp sensor an see if that fixes it. for mine it was the sensor with 3 wires. i heard its different depending on the year of the car.
