What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
Alright, umm basically, what am I looking at for performance and sound with this set up? Will I be able to get the car inspected with it? Because the cops are really crackin down around here.
Alright, I'm looking at dynomax mufflers, and I don't know anything about them or which ones are better for sound/performance, I narrowed it down to 2 tho. Dynomax turbo muffler ![]() Dyno tests prove it--Dynomax's Super Turbo mufflers are the closest you can get to running an open pipe, but a lot quieter. To make things even better, Super Turbos have more features than most other mufflers put together--less backpressure for improved quarter mile times, aluminized construction for long life and good looks, patented flow directors that channel exhaust for maximum performance, and fiberglass matting for a deep, throaty, powerful performance tone. OR Dynomax Race muffler ![]() If you want something better than your slow-flowing OEM muffler, these Race series mufflers are just what you need. With their straight-through design, you'll get added performance and a deep, aggressive tone. Other features include all-welded construction for maximum durability, all-aluminized construction for long life, and continuous roving fiberglass for maximum sound control. The thing that made me not-so-sure about this one is the "straight through" design. I don't want anymore fart cans! Is this the same concept just different shape? With a Magnaflow directfit catalytic converter so i'll have an outlet for the oxygen sensor, and i'll probly have to cut the flanges off, i know. ![]() Dynomax resonator 26" Case length - 31" Over all length ![]() These Magnum Glasspack mufflers give you maximum flow without annoying the sound police. They have free-flowing, perforated center tubes surrounded by two-stage fiberglass packing. Other features include AKDQ inlet and outlet bushings for easy expansion if needed, one-piece shell construction, and a performance tone. And last but not least the Rksport 4-2-1 headeR (singular) ![]() Oh yeah, almost forgot the Borla intercooled tip ![]() Any thoughts?

Re: What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
i would go with the turbo muffler. it seems that it wouldnt be as loud without sacrificing much performance. also arent glass packs really loud? thats what i have heard in the past. i personally would do for a 4-1 header set up but its up to you. i would go for the new cat also. the one you have looks good to me. thats my input

Re: What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
I was using the glasspack as a resonator with the muffler and cat converter to dampen the sound, I DONT want it too loud. Probly a dumb question but what's IMO mean? lol Also, what about a dual outlet Camaro muffler?
![]() I don't want the exhaust to be too loud inside/outside the car but I also want good performance, and I definitely don't want anymore fart cans.

Re: What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
ok i see what your saying sorry, IMO is "In My Opinion" sorry about that. the camaro muffler sounds pretty good you can make the exhaust look like an SRT-4. I wanna say shorter glasspacks are better for a res, but don't hold me to that

Re: What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
Awesome, I can't get a dual exhaust set up out of my head. Single exhaust's just dont impress me at all, I had the rksport dualies on my 2.2 and it sounded like complete crap, probly because I didn't have a resonator. But I don't want a big set up like that again, fart cans were too big, but im thinking the one regular muffler with two side outlets could work well without losing back pressure? Thats another one of my concerns. And a small dual set up like the srt4's would be nice.

Re: What are your opinons on this exhaust set up?
As far as I know, you really don't need much backpressure at all in your muffler(s) as most of it is achieved with the header and cat.

I have never gotten much life out of the standard Super Turbo Dynomax. The stainless steel UltraFlow would last longer.
