New brake pads for Thor
Hey, guess what I just got? EBC greenstuff brake pads, everywhere I found them online was $55+.... I got them for $26! Now my question AFTER I already bought them. They dont say whether they are for AWD or FWD, but none of the places online specified either. Are the AWD and FWD pads the same?

Re: New brake pads for Thor
I dont think they are in a 2g but I'm not positive. I know that the 2g n/t had different brakes than a 2g turbo

Re: New brake pads for Thor
They are different I'm pretty sure. Check slowboy because I think they sell pads for evey type of dsm basically. I would think the awd pads are larger just like the caliper.

Re: New brake pads for Thor
Good call. I'll check SBR's pads and cross reference part numbers.
The results. FWD = HB 214F.618 (http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1289&) and WHOA look what the AWD part number is = HB214F.618 (http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1290&). Well, I'll be damned. |

Re: New brake pads for Thor
be careful with those EBC's, they take a while to get up to operating temp.

Re: New brake pads for Thor
you get them up to temp by beating on them(hard breaking riding them ect.) when they arent at temp they wont break as well

Re: New brake pads for Thor
I think I might just go with some regular oem type replacement pads. I dont like the whole warming up the brakes thing. I got new oem back rotors, new slotted 93+ awd centric hp front rotors, and 93+ awd calipers waiting for install. I just need get me some brakes pads from like pep boys I guess and I'm trying to find some stainless steal lines that arent to expensive. Anyone know where to get em for not too much besides e bay(which the cheapest I saw was 125 total).

Re: New brake pads for Thor
go with something in between, Axxis Metal Masters, Performance Friction, and Hawk HPS are all carbon-metallic pads that offer better bite than stock organic pads yet don't require warming up.
The only bad thing is they dust pretty badly.
