1996 sebring convertible right rear turn signal does not flash

I have a 1996 Sebring Convertible that has right rea turn signals that do not work. The right front flashed fast until I replaced the flasher in the stearing colum and it now flashes at normal speed. All of the running lights work fine and the brake lights work fine on both sides. The left turn signal bulbs work fine. I switched the right side bulbs with the left side bulbs and it made no difference. I replaced the flasher. When testing the wire coming into the right back turn signal is no current coming in while the flasher is on and flashing on the right front. I used the ground wire going into the right back to test another connection and the ground works. The flasher has 5 pins on it so I assume they are separate for the four corners of the car.
Any ideas what to try next?

Had the identical problem. Mechanic checked electrical system and found a module needed replacing. About $200. Sorry don't recall the part name but this did the trick.

Any chance of finding out what part number needed to be replaced? I have the same problem right now as well.

I've just solved my problem. Thought I'd post for anybody else who may run into similar.

First, I have a 96 Sebring Convertible JXi. Don't know if this is the same for other models/years.

My car has an additional flasher module in the rear wiring harness inside the trunk on the lefthand side behind the trim carpeting. In my case, this flasher module is either bad or the connection is just not good. By fiddling with the connector (pulling the module out, plugging back in) I am able to get everything working properly again. If the connection was just bad, I may be good to go now that I 've cleaned it and reseated it. If the problem comes back, their may be something bad inside the flasher itself requiring it to be replaced.

Flasher is Chrysler part# 04672296 and I was quoted $73.54 for the part from a local dealership. Have found the part on line for as low as $48 plus tax/shipping. Have NOT YET found any aftermarket replacement.

TIP: finding it online was a challenge. Some part lookups do not accept the 0 (zero) at the beginning of the part number. The part itself has 04672296 printed on the side of it. When searching, try both 04672296 AND 4672296.

Still cheaper than the multifunction switch on the steering column and much easier to replace.
