some more Q's
Ok I'm wandering if my 2000 GT-S has an IAT sensor and if it does where? The reason I'm asking is because I get shitty gas milage for a 28 mpg car and I wanna remove it if that resistor mod has been done. I can't find a Haynes manual for it at autozone or advance so I figured I'd ask you guys. thanx for and help.

Re: some more Q's
if you figure it out maybe it's the same problem my friend is having. His GT gets crap for mpg apparently and doesn't know why.

Re: some more Q's
Alot of Toyotas have the IAT sensor integrated into the MAF meter. If your MAF meter has a five-wire connection, then I bet it has an integrated IAT sensor.

Re: some more Q's
Could I put a MAF in my Civic since it's getting such low gas mileage?

Re: some more Q's
I'm not sure mine even gets 300. I'm takin a road trip tomorrow so I'll try and see if I can calculate the mileage. I know somethins not right because my little 2.0 @-se got around 34-35 mpg. huge HP difference though lol. I'm gonna put about 250- 300 miles on it tomorrow so I better fill it up and hope it makes it home. BTW I finally order the new belt tensioner on monday last week and the car hasnt made a squeal at all since tuesday. I think my baby is possesed because I haven't even got the part yet. lol crazy shit.

Re: some more Q's
Hmmm... Well, maybe I just drive too much lol. I got 307 miles and the gauge is half way between a 1/4 and a 1/2 a tank so I guess I run the streets too much. I could probably get another 100 miles before I ran out. Thanx anyways i guess I'm stupid lol

Re: some more Q's
MAP is more accurate than maf, afm is actually the most accurate but is kind of restricting, running afm and map together is the best (3sgte does this)
in our cars (4afe/5sfe) we have the iat's in the airbox and the map is located on the firewall
