only 1 manual was made stock, but there have been modifcations so the 6 speed trans off a corvetter and the clutch of a camaro to fit in, i think a company in texas does the whole conversion for 5k, the stock manual that was made was for moss, the original concept maker of the 94-96 impala.

i remember that, b/c it was in autoweek when it came out... it was in front of the rock and roll hall of fame... so i remember b/c its in my town... i think that was the one off, but it can be done...

www.bigfastcar.com They have all the info you need. There have been several guys at various car shows showing off the results of the conversion. It is a sweet package and blends in perfectly with the console that is OEM for the 96's.

there is now around 75 conversions driving around! more and more are finding out how cool they are, so each winter a few more pop up! its an easy mod, and the car will get 27mph also after the mod! plus, since the 4l60e is so weak, this gets rid of that problem!
