O2 sensor problem
Recently, the check engine light went on the Accord EX V6. A OBD was used and gave the code: P0141 Bank1 Sensor2 heater malfunc. I was told it was the rear O2 sensor that was causing the problem. Is the O2 sensor something that needs an immediated replacement or can it wait? Does a bad O2 sensor lower gas mileage? Does it matter if I replace the rear O2 sensor with an OEM or an aftermarket O2 sensor? What is the OEM brand Accord 2000 V6? The best price I find (Denso OEM Part# C5010-100900) was $78.80 shipped from DriveWire. Would this be the right O2 sensor? Has anyone purchase from DriveWire?

Re: o2 sensor problem
In general, the front o2 sensor provides info on the composition of the exhaust right out of the motor for the computer to adjust mixture, the rear monitors the exhaust composition after passing through the catalyst, to ensure compliance.
So it should run fine, but won't pass an inspection where OBDII compliance is mandated.

Re: o2 sensor problem
I don't think that is the right part for the sencondary sensor. Usually secondary has long wiring but that's for 4 cylinder. You should call your local honda dealer and ask for part number for your model. OEM sensor for Accord is from Denso.
