Question Power Locks

My girlfriends car doesnt have power locks or windows and she wants to add at least power locks but both if its possible.

Is that possible without spending tons of cash?

Re: Power Locks

sounds very reasonable.

$45 is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be and I wont be the one doing it she will (with my help most likely). So 3 days wont bother me.

Re: Power Locks

Alright... first off you're gonna need a power lock kit like such:
http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-DOOR-LOCK-...QQcmdZViewItem
[Make sure you get one like that with someone with a high rating...]

Then, you'll just hafta pull off the door panels... mount the actuators parallel to the locking rods...

Use the given rods to attach the actuator to the locking rods... wire it in and connect to the appropriate power source and hide all wiring under the dash...

You'll get more specific instruction with the wiring diagrams and the install instructions in the box...

hope this helps...

Re: Power Locks

Hmmm it says the switch is not included....

Could I pull the switch off a differnt camaro from a junk yard?

Now I just have to figure out a way to do power windows but that can wait.....
I got my own car to work on...

I still haven't gotten around to the installing the power locks but we ordered the power lock kit so I'll install it whenever she gives me the chance.

Re: Power Locks

hhmmm those kits look hard to install but i like challenges. i like manual windows also because if something happens to your electrical you can always roll up your windows and have a lil security. but this isnt my car its my girls and if she wants it she gets it...

thanks again for the link...
