I know its a bit previous since I'm not going until October but can anyone recomend any model shops in the New England area that will be easy to find.
I am doing a drive tour of the area above Boston and would like to take in some model shops while I'm at it if possible. I stop in Boston for a couple of days then head north eastish in a big circle. any help would be appreciated.

Re: Model shops in New England area.
You're going to miss me by a couple months, I'll be curing in Albuquerque by then. Above Boston is perfect, though, my "local" hobby shop is in Tyngsboro, MA (just under the border from Nashua) and is really nice. They call it "Hobby Emporium." There's no site, but this will get you there:
Google map linkie.

Re: Model shops in New England area.
Hobby Emporium is a great store. In addition, check out The Spare Time Shop in Marlboro, MA. It's about 20-25 minutes outside of the city.

I'm in Waltham. Next time I intend on going to Hobby Emporium, I should PM you. We could have a mini AF meet.

Re: Model shops in New England area.
If you're going to be west of Boston, The Spare Time Shop has a very good supply of kits (less cars than planes & ships but good none the less). He stocks a LOT of paints and supplies also which I am grateful for as I live in town.
The Spare Time Shop is in Marlborough, MA on US Route 20 (East Main Street in Marlborough). Not too far from either Interstate 495 or Interstate 90 (the Mass. Turnpike). It's in a strip mall I think is called Post Road Plaza. John |
