2001 Navigator problems

Hello,
I need help. I have 2001 Lincoln Navigator nad I am having problems with the light, turn signals and flashers. My mechanic can't locate the problem, I hope someone can help me. Here is what happens...turn on headlight and they are dim, then you put on turn signal and both arrows are on, but the one you turn on is flashing, then all of a sudden everything is fine. Some time the fog lights will work and others times they won't. Then you put on the emergency flashers they worked then he shut them off and back on things went dim again. Can someone get back to me ASAP.

Sounds like an alt. problem to me.
Or mabey.. a ground problem

2001 is relatively new to be having these problems. Have you found the cure yet?

There's quite a few things that need to be checked for this type problem.
All things culminate at the Multifunction Switch on the steering column, which may be the only cause.

Replace the turn signal switch also called multi-function switch. The headlights run through this and so do the signals, etc. Mine cost about $100 from Ford very easy to do yourself TIM
