|
How do i tell how many rear drive gears i have?
2.73 or 3.23? How do i know?
Also the weight of a 2001 firebird 3.8L v6 is over 4,000 lbs? I looked on the driver door. Damn that is a fat car

your car's weight should be around 3300-3400 lbs. l doubt it is 4000lbs.
about gears, l doubt you got 2.73 or 3.23s.. v-8s have those gears. but check your driver side door anyway.. and if you see GU2 it is 2.73, if you see GU5 it is 3.23s.

i looked on the driver door and the first weight was over 4,000lbs..I was hoping my car wasnt that heavy
And if my car shouldnt be 2.73 or 3.23 what should it be? Will i still have GU2 or GU 5 if its a v6?

Your car should weigh around 3600lbs and GU2 or GU5 are RPO codes for your gears. They are the same code no matter if its a V8 or V6 cause it only pertains to the gears not the engine. You may also have GU4 which I believe is 3.08's.

I dont have GU2 or GU5..Its a GU6..And an automatic
