Re: low oil

I don't believe the low oil switch will prevent the fuel pump from running. The oil pressure sending unit can shut off the fuel pump, but only after the car starts. It's a safety set-up to keep you from blowing your engine from lack of oil pressure. The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM at key on, and after a crank signal is received from the PCM, it verifies oil pressure from the oil pressure sender, and if below spec, shuts off the fuel pump.

Re: low oil

Rich is correct. All low oil level will cause is the low oil sending unit will send a signal to the PCM to trigger the idiot lamp on the Instrument Panel. It will not disable fuel pump enable.

What specific problem are you having?
