Rust on a 95?
I noticed my moms 95 cavvy is rusting all over the bottom of the doors, and some other places.. It' might just be surface rust, I really didn't inspect it that much. When you open the doors there are these little black circle tab things all over that like, say "no rust" "no rust" on them.. Is this car supposed to rust?

Re: Rust on a 95?
GM does a poor job of sealing their door bottoms inside between the 2 pieces.Water collects and rusts the bottoms out.Thousands of Grand Ams,Cavaliers,Luminas, and Cutlass Cieras later and they are still doing it.I saw a modern generation white Impala with rust on the driver door bottom lately...Best advice? When the car is brand new, remove door panel and fill the door bottom level with inner panel coating (SEM brand) it looks like beeswax.Keep the drains open while doing this. This keeps water from reaching the vulnerable bare metal at the spotwelds.
