95 Fuel pump, etc...

Well, got the new fuel pump in. Pressure hoovers around 50 psi with no leaks. The manual says 52 to 64. Seems to run OK with a just a very little rough idle. Could stand or some new plugs. Been sitting for over a year. I do have one problem, however. The gas gauge wants to bounce up and down irratically. I know it has about a 1/4 tank of gas in it. I have also checked the groung strap and the two prong power plug from the fuel pump assembly. Still the gauge bouces back and forth irratically. I will have more time to mess with it later in the week.

Thanks guys and gals for any help...

Cool Re: 95 Fuel pump, etc...

My '95 fuel guage has always been bouncy...1/4 tank while driving, damn near empty at a stop. VERY irritating! Seems once you get to 1/4 tank all hell breaks loose and you just need to get some more gas to be safe....JMHO. Them pumps are a BLAST to replace, aren't they?
