Question recall gossip...any truth

was at the auto parts store this weekend and was chatting with a few guys and it came up that there is about to be a recall on 94+ radiators.
As anyone heard anything about this?

thanks
jim

Re: recall gossip...any truth

I can't see it being true.

If a 12 year old rad needs replacing it's lived a pretty long life already and should be replaced before it has an internal leak taking out the automatic transmission.

Re: recall gossip...any truth

Most of the time, recalls never happen on vehicles older than 7 years.
As a matter of fact, all the recalls I've had on my '97 in previous years
had a 7yr/70,000 mile limit on them. (Tthe last recall/special notice was for the wiper pulse board that expired Feb. 2004 with the 70k mile limit)
