04 civic problem

i need to press very very very hard on gas pedal to acclerate... this has been going on from quite a long time.. i only have 20,000 miles on it.. does anyone what is causing it? and approxmiately how much will it cause to fix it? any help will be appreciated.

Could be alot of different things. Have you kept on maintenace? A problem like this I would recomemend the usual oil filter plugs wires. Check them out make sure they are all up to date with your schedule. A similar problem like this had come up and the kid took his car to Honda which in turn they said to flush the tranny it may be dirty. I think it might be the cat but you would see a code being thrown.

i did kept maintain my car.. changed the oil regularly, air filter ..it is only 20,000 miles so ?

20k you have a warrenty?

i bought it in 2004.. so it should be under warranty rite??? isn't honda civic under warranty for 3 years?
