how do i tell how many gears my car is? Im new to f-bodies

01 3.8L V6

Most impressive. Best I can do with the ss is 3 gears, did that with the crapyear tires that were stock.

If you have a manual it is six, and if you have an automatic it is four. He was just referring to the fact that he could only spin the tires up to four gears, when in reality he has six total. That is kind of convoluted, but it makes sense to me so deal with it.

man, this dude is asking for V-6 firebird. Not T/A or Formula, so which means he got 5 speed stick shift/ 4 speed auto.

That is your rear end gear. We are talking about the gears in your transmission.
