3 put key in ignition, TURN IGNITION ON / OFF , ON / OFF.LEAVE KEY IN IGNITION.(DO NOT START VEHICLE, ON POSITION IS THE POSITION BEFORE START)

4 RELEASE FINGER FROM POWER DOOR LOCK.POWER DOOR LOCKS WILL CYCLE.(JUMP UP AND DOWN)

5 PRESS AND HOLD BOTH THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS ON NEW REMOTE UNTILL YOU HEAR POWER DOOR LOCKS CYCLE.(JUMP UP AND DOWN) YOU MAY HAVE TO HOLD BOTH BUTTONS DOWN FOR 5- 20 SECONDS.

Re: programing keyless entry

If the procedure didn't take, either the batteries are shot in the FOB's or the dealer gave you the wrong FOB's.
For TB's your FOB's should read:

GM 15008009
FCC ID: MYT3X6898B
CANADA: 28071032143

Re: programing keyless entry

I got two fobs off of eBay for $30 shipped and got the same directions off of trailvoy.com and they worked like a charm.

Yep, I lucked out and got a pair of used ones off eBay for $20. IIRC, I used the trailvoy.com instructions as well.

Re: programing keyless entry

I have a 95 blazer and the keyless remote has died in the washing machine.

If I purchase a new one online.
Do I really need a working remote to program the new remote.

As far as I know, no. I've done 5-6 GM FOB programmings, and they all make you reprogram all FOBS.
