Question Help! - gas guage problems 1990 olds 88

I've just purchased this car recently and the gas gauge does not register. The needle is all the way to the right and stays there. We have replace the guage, put in a new tank, with sending unit and pump and still the gauage is still sitting there. I had read somewhere that it could be a bad ground wire? Where do I find the ground? Or any other ideas as to what the problem is? This has been driving me nuts any help would be appreciated.

My first thought was the fuel sending unit, but if you have replaced that then I would imagine something is wrong in your guage cluster.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! This is the best site I have ever found for answers about our cars

I would assume the issue of the bad ground would have been found and fixed when you replaced the tank. My guess would be a faulty gauge.
