2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Transfer Case; Types And Fluids
Hello,
I am currently changing out the transmission on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Limited 4WD. I have concerns that the fluid I purchased for my transfer case may not be the correct fluid. I've tried researching the different cases and fluids but I was unable to find out any specifics. Would anyone happen to have information on the different types of transfer cases and their respective fluids? Thanks! |

Re: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Transfer Case; Types And Fluids
Hi, I've got the same vehicle, 4.0 liter. Owner's manual states that for the TC, "Mopar Automatic Transmission Fluid or equivalent labeled Dexron III".
I have Amsoil synthetic ATF in mine, and no problems. -edit- (Amsoil site index: http://www.amsoil.com/scripts/runisa...msoiloaf:index )

Thanks! I feel foolish, I thought I had searched every page of the manual but I guess I over looked some things.
